For hot and humid south central and southeastern parts of the US, we might recommend dehumidifier. Too much humidity can lead to mold issues, plant diseases, and premature degradation of various components of the Growing Dome. The Quest Dehumidifier was designed to be placed overhead and out of the way because hot humid air tends to rise, but the unit can also be placed at ground level for plug and play operation. The Quest 70 Pint Dehumidifier removes up to 8 gallons of water per unit per day. The Quest 70 Pint Dehumidifier provides the ultimate in flexibility for the most challenging space restrictions and specialized applications. Made in the USA.
The water removed from the air can be reused. Do not submerge the drain tube. Instead let it drip into a collection bucket. Test the water for impurities prior to adding back to your tank or watering your garden. MERV-13 filters are recommended to to be replaced every 3-6 months depending on usage.
